Some Examples of Our Work
Higher Education
A major midwest university engaged HIPERNET to plan and execute the replacement of their aging, diverse, complicated and over-taxed core routing systems, for which there was very little accurate documentation. The project included transitioning all of the redundant connections to the various campus rings and server infrastructure, and upgrading their Internet uplinks. During this multi-phase transition project which extended over several months, HIPERNET engineers led the efforts to troubleshoot interoperability challenges between different equipment brands and platforms.
K-12 Schools
A regional K-12 school system in New England used HIPERNET to install a complete replacement of their network equipment in all buildings, which also incorporated their WiFi AP network. The installation and cutover plan was executed with very limited downtime for the district, which allowed the IT department to satisfy the needs of all students, faculty and staff. Our engineers completed their work in some interesting and unconventional switch locations.
Public Sector
HIPERNET managed the installation of new core, edge and wireless infrastructure for a northeast state government office complex. Working within tight cutover windows and minimal downtime, our engineers attempted to transition the agency to the new network, but the team discovered performance issues with the existing fiber-optic infrastructure, which prompted the replacement of those links. Simultaneously, our engineers installed and configured 802.11ax wireless infrastructure for mobile clients and transitioned management to a new cloud controller, replacing the older, locally managed APs.
Entertainment
A multi-site casino company in the midwest engaged HIPERNET to design and install new network infrastructure systems in a new facility. The work was completed during the same period as other construction activities, which presented some logistical challenges. Other similar projects for this customer are currently in the planning phase.
Enterprise
HIPERNET was engaged by a Fortune 500 corporation to install all new network equipment in an upgraded northeastern US manufacturing facility, including access and firewall systems and a local AP controller. Our engineers successfully adapted their installation plans to accommodate improperly sized cabinets, and once completed, they assisted the customer and other on-site vendors with network access issues.
